Private Client Manager
Hemel Hempstead

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Private Client Manager with the attitude to drive and grow the private client area of the business, ideally bringing own ideas and new approaches. We would like someone who is keen and excited at the idea of this role, on board with the concept of managing and training staff in South Africa and growing this area of the business. 

This role is based in our Hemel Hempstead office but we can be flexible in terms of working from home occasionally. This role may include some travel to South Africa from time to time. 

Experience

No specific PQE required although this will be a reasonably senior role so some experience of dealing with more complex private client matters, business development skills and the right attitude are key. 

Responsibilities

  • To manage and train staff in South Africa remotely to carry out basic private client work (we currently have a few staff members in these roles in South Africa but we are looking for this to grow). 
  • To take responsibility and manage the more complex private client matters.
  • Liaise regarding marketing and business development matters in terms of strategy and getting involved to help grow this area of the business.

Office Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and organised office manager to undertake a varied workload and take responsibility for all administrative aspects of the office.

The role

Duties will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the lawyers.
  • Providing PA style support to the Partners when required.   
  • Greeting clients at reception and answering the telephone.
  • Devising and maintaining office systems including filing, file opening and archiving.
  • Conducting new employee training inductions.
  • Scanning and photocopying documents.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment.  
  • Maintaining office facilities.
  • Arranging internal meetings and conferences including Zoom/Microsoft teams.
  • Ensuring that policies are up to date.
  • Taking responsibility for the administration of office contract renewals.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation and where required travelling with the partners to provide general assistance during presentations.
  • Carrying out general administrative duties.
  • Supporting the HR manager with administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with post and banking.
  • Liaising with the IT consultant.
