Employment Claims

There will always be an initial fee for considering your case and attending and advising you. This fee will vary from case to case but we will give you a fixed quote on the telephone and we will stick to that quote.

Often we will be able to offer a contingency fee agreement, but as stated above, there will always be an initial fee.

What is a Contingency Fee Agreement?
A Contingency Fee Agreement means that you pay us a percentage of your compensation (if any). Click here to see a sample contingency fee agreement.

No Win - No Fee in personal injury claims

What Is No Win, No Fee?
A No Win, No Fee Agreement, otherwise known as a Conditional Fee Agreement is a method by which you can fund your claim for compensation.

How much will it cost me?
In the event that your claim is unsuccessful, you do not have to pay our fees. An insurance policy can be taken out to cover the expenses incurred in pursuing your claim and your opponent's legal costs. The decision to take an insurance policy will depend upon each individual case and the client is advised whether to take out a policy during the meeting. However in the majority of cases Underwoods will not ask the client to take out an insurance premium in connection with any conditional fee agreement and Underwoods will fully protect the client in relation to the other side's legal costs.

Can I enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement?
Underwoods solicitors offer our clients the option to enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement if there are no other ways of funding your personal injury claim. Prior to entering into the agreement a solicitor will discuss with you the other alternative methods of funding available to you. Our solicitors will then explain the terms of Conditional Fee Agreement before you sign. All the solicitors at Underwoods have been fully trained in dealing with Conditional Fee Agreements and have been guided by the Managing Partner Robert Males and Senior Partner Kerry Underwood, a leading authority on Conditional Fee Agreements.
